Nuovo bug per i chipset Via

Stando a questo articolo(http://www.overclockers.com/tips477/) pubblicato su Overclockers.com, alcune schede madri basate su chipset Via KT133A avrebbero un bug nel north bridge del chipset, bug che porta a errato boot di sitema quando viene utilizzato un processore Athlon con frequenza di bus di 133 Mhz.
Il bug interessa i north bridge con codici che iniziano per 1EA0 oppure 1EA4, mentre i chip che hanno codice che inizia con la sigla 2EA1 sono esenti dal bug.
The bug affects motherboards with a Via VT8363A Northbridge (i.e. all Via KT133A boards) with codes beginning with 1EA0 or 1EA4 on the last line of print on the chipset. Chips with codes starting with 2EA1 are OK.

Based on the dates shown on pictures of the Northbridges shown in the articles, Via definitely made the buggy Northbridges until late February, and might have made them until late March.

What's the bug? A failure to warm boot when an Athlon-C (133/266Mhz) processor is being used.

Chip Online has discovered a new bug in the KT133A chipset, this time effecting the VT8363A northbridge. Effects of the bug include refusal to warm reboot with northbridge's of certain steppings. Chip is reporting that 1EA0 and 1EA4 are effected, while the later 2EA1 is not.

This bug takes us by suprise, as we have not heard its symptoms in our forums, or experienced them ourselves. I have been running a AOpen KT133A with one of the effected southbridges, stepping "1EA4", for a few months without problems. Anyone encountered this bug?

Cmq il tipo di Viahardware nn sembra così convinto della cosa ....avete visto?

anke xke'... sono cose ke magari dipendono da conf. partikolari del sistema.
kome il cold boot dell'abit con gts2... se questa aveva le memorie su entrambi i lati.
