Sono sicuro di non aver disinstallato nulla. Ho solo aggiornato LMS ed il plugin C-3PO, quindi è stato in uno di questi passaggi che SOX è "saltato"...
Ho reinstallato sox normale (non ho un DAC che regge il DSD) ed adesso la riproduzione funziona.
Quello che ancora non torna è il ricampionamento, nel senso che, anche se io imposto di NON farlo, il file mi viene riprodotto a 96Khz (che il massimo supportato dal mio DAC e valore impostato al lancio dello script easetup)...
Adesso non riesco a fare altri file di log: ditemi se servono!

Si,posta il log del server e magari anche quello di C-3PO.

Ho riprodotto le tue impostazioni ed in effetti quella combinazione particolare produce comunque una richiesta di resampling, quindi, a causa di un errore mio, lo fa al massimo sample rate, non mantenendo il rate originario.

Per eliminare il problema, come soluzione temporanea, devi disabilitare il resampling per formato. Farlo in generale selezionando Mai non basta.

Tieni comunque presente però che in ogni caso è un comando 'logico' nel senso che disabilita il cambio di sample rate tra ingresso ed uscita, ma non esclude che sox possa applicare l'effetto RATE, se gli serve per raggiungere gli effetti desiderati (o anche solo se io sono stato 'pigro' nel modellare il caso specifico).

Quello del resampling nonostante il MAI è un errore introdotto in C-3PO con il DSD, quindi dipende da dove arrivava lui..., sul perchè ci fosse un file SOX non eseguibile nella cartella di LMS/BIN/... non lo so proprio.

Fino a qualche settimana fa, quando aprivo l'interfaccia web di LMS, compariva in basso la segnalazione della disponibilità di un aggiornamento. Cliccando sulla nota apriva la finestra con la relativa stringa linux per avviare l'aggiornamento che io eseguivo da linea di comando.
Dal 7 marzo non ho più queste segnalazioni. So che siamo giunti ad una versione stabile, mi chiedo se lo sviluppo è stato interrotto del tutto oppure se esiste una nuova versione beta...
Il plugin di Marco l'ho sempre aggiornato tramite l'interfaccia web di LMS: aprendo il tab "plugin" ogni tanto mi segnalava la presenza di un aggiornamento che io "applicavo" e facevo il restart manuale di LMS.

Sì, sono sicuro, tanto che il valore di 96Khz (come massima frequenza) è quello corretto: uso la Gustard come interfaccia ed ho un DAC che arriva al massimo a 96Khz, quindi quel valore è il massimo consentito dal mio setup.
Prima degli aggiornamenti recenti, LMS e C-3PO funzionavano correttamente.

Su Windows non parte nemmeno a me SOX....insomma LMS non mi funziona piu . C3PO si è aggiornato automaticamente ....e ora non funge.

C-3PO NON tocca SOX, in nessun caso, quindi escludo sia la sua installazione ad averlo manomesso, ma da quello che vedo sox c'è (almeno come file).

Sei sicuro che il problema sia SOX? (il path è valorizzato nei comandi).
Nelle prime righe dopo la partenza cosa ti dice in merito al path ed alla versione di sox?
Nella pagina dei settings (avanzate) cosa ti dice, sempre in merito a SOX?

Hai fatto l'upgrade di LMS anche tu? Temo che quella possa provocare danni. Vorrei cercare di capire cos'è, puoi cortesemente postarmi log dalla partenza e videata dei settings?

a brevissimo rilascio una nuova versione che porta a video molte più informazioni sullo stato delle diverse componenti e sui comandi generati, ma già adesso nel log (ad INFO) la situazione è riassunta molto più chiaramente, se hai notato, ma non ne vedo traccia in quanto hai postato.

non mi riferivo al max, ma al minimo... però la cosa probabilmente è irrilevante: IIRC, il protocollo comunica ad LMS solo il max.
