UNIVERSAL ABIT has a happy history with the overclocking community. It was its engineering division that granted overclocking to the world with the unlocking of Intel's Celeron 333, whihc it ran at 450MHz on Abit's legendary BH6.
The firm's latest boards are proving to be no slouches either, and some guys from XtremeSystems.org and NordicHardware are planning to chill down the sizzling temperature inside Hall 2 here in Taipei with Abit's P35 and 975X based motherboards.
Welcome to the playground...
The guys tipped up with around dozen Intel Kentsfields and Conroes (each and every one is lapped to the copper base, of course), and they are planning to hit anywhere from 4.4 to 5GHz or above. Abit came prepared and bought no less than 120 kilograms of Liquid Nitrogen, which should keep it cool for all days of the show.
Some guys like cars, some like football or hockey. Some guys like beer. This guy, none other than Robert "Crotale" Kihlberg, the Swedish overclocking champion, has feelings for this huge can of LN2. Robert likes all of the above, of cpourse, but given a limited choice, we somehow think that a tank of LN2 would overcome other choices.
