    Processor Intel Skylake i7 6700K
    Memory 16 GB DDR4
    SSD 1 TB

    • 5 ppb stability OCXO with low noise power supply replacing the motherboard system clock
    • Low noise dual choke power supply for computer motherboard and CPU
    • Low noise, high frequency power supply for SSD
    • Mundorf Mlytic capacitors with 660,000 microfarads storage capacity
    • Steel potted power supply transformer with internal copper foil shielding
    • High performance RAM with custom aluminum heat sinks
    • Heatpipe cooling system for CPU connected to copper billet CNC milled heatsinks allowing fanless high load operation with CPU overclocking
    • Optimized BIOS settings for CPU and RAM
    • SGM audio playback software

    • HQPlayer capable of PCM to DSD 512 realtime conversion DSD 64 to DSD 512 upsampling
    • Roon Server Library and Tidal streaming content delivered to HQPlayer
    • Kodi media Server Library and Qobuz streaming content deliver to HQPlayer
    • iTunes content delivery to HQ Player
    • Audio optimized custom Windows 10 build with Process Lasso management of execution priorities

    - il controllo e la soppressione di RFI;
    - dissipare circa 50 watt di calore dalla CPU mantenendo stabile la temperatura dei cores;
    - migliorare il più possibile il clock timing nel calcolo.

    Hello Nexthardware friends,

Thank you Gianluca for the write up. Let's not forget and pay homage to a key part of the total system package is the Amanero USB receiver, admittedly in this case, designed in Italy and made in Germany.

There is one small error in your write up

For the record, the small cooler block on to of the CPU is CNC milled from copper. The left side case heat sink is milled from solid aluminium magnesium silicon alloy. The right side heat sink where all of the 4 heat pipes are connected, is milled from solid copper. The size of the heat sink is about 400 mm x 160 mm. The weight of the copper heat sink is nicely balanced by the weight of the chokes on the left side of the case.

Audiodan is certainly one of the technical founding fathers of this project, he told me that every change of component in both the HQ Player PC and the NAA made an audible difference to the sound.

An interesting data point is that we have run tests using 2 SGM's one for HQ Player, and one for NAA. The system was sonically unacceptably inferior to the SGM working alone !

Would there be some interest to have an event at Sound Galleries in Monaco ?

Much closer than Munich, and we will serve Rose instead of Grunerveltliner

Perhaps soon it will be possible to have DSD512 with Amanero in Linux too
    ...we are working on it.

Do you mean the Pricipality of Monaco?
Or were you suggesting an Italian event ...in Rome?

What we would like to do is an event at Sound Galleries in Monaco

Our thoughts are, one system with Audiopax tube amps driving Avantgarde horns, a second system with Taiko Kodo (Hypex) amps driving KEF Blades

    Edward,

What motherboard does it use? What format?
Is there space for a card? At the back there is no provision for any slot.
However, I was thinking of possible future developments, for example a CUDA or fiber channel card...
