stamattina nel mio solito driver tour ho trovato disponibili per il download degli hotfix per i nuovi driver Catalyst v.8.10

The Catalyst 8.10 hotfix for the 32 and 64bit versions of Windows XP e Vista has support for Radeon X1x00, HD 2000, HD 3000 and HD 4000 series cards and will:

- Improve performance for the DirectX 9 version of Far Cry 2 on CrossFire compatible systems
- Improve performance for the DirectX 10 version of Far Cry 2 on both single and CrossFire compatible systems

This hotfix

• Improves performance for the DirectX 9 version of Far Cry 2 on CrossFire™ compatible systems
• Improves performance for the DirectX 10 version of Far Cry 2 on both single and CrossFire™ compatible systems

The hotfix download package includes both the Display Driver and Catalyst Control Center. The hotfix can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.

Note: This driver is provided as is and is not supported by AMD. It has not completed full AMD testing, and is only recommended for users experiencing the particular issue described above.

Far Cry 2 is DirectX 10.1



A new driver to support it

Our sources have just confirmed that Far Cry 2 will be a DirectX 10.1 game. We know that Nvidia has its eye on this game and that it likes it as much as it liked the original Crysis back in October 2007, but they couldn't convince the developer to add the DirectX 10.1 support.
ATI will shortly release a hotfix driver that should boost the performance of this game on Radeon HD 4870 X2 significantly, and our sources are confident that this driver should be enough to beat Geforce GTX 280 in this game.

The game should launch on Tuesday in North America and on Friday in Europe, although some of the press already got their hands on this savannah shooter. DirectX 10.1 support in such a significant title is a great victory for ATI and we wonder if this implementation will give ATI some additional performance over Nvidia’s DirectX 10 supporting the GT200 family.

Only difference I see from 8.10 is an updated OpenGL driver, newer CCC.

Includes support for AGP cards.

io vga Ati non ne ho in casa.. ma a sentire i commenti di chi questi driver li ha provati.. sembrano promettere un gran bene..


"I've tested these Driver and I have to say I am really IMPRESSED!

I get about 10% more fps in Crysis (1920, VeryHigh) - went from 20 to 22fps

about 5% more in COD4 (1920, max Details) -from 68 to 73fps

and about 45% more in Bioshock (1920, max Details) - from 70 to 100fps (!!)

ciao, volevo intromettermi nell'argomento facendo un passo indietro e una domanda curiosa, i catalyst 8.10 mi hanno aumentato di circa 5 fps in rFactor, 10 in Grid... Test drive e così via...credo si possano passare... e di sicuro anke la rc1 degli 8.11 proverà a migliorarsi!
quindi tutto ok a mio modestissimo parere, se nn fosse ke pur avendo installato i driver ufficiali nn ho la schermata completa di velocità ventole ed azionamento manuale, ma nn era la grande novità degli 8.10?
a te è comparsa la nuova schermata?
