La X700 scheda che dovrebbe competere con la 6600GT di Nvidia sarebbe vicina al lancio in 3 versioni XT - PRO e standard.

Ecco quello che ho trovato a riguardo:

THE X700 IS GETTING CLOSE to being announced and we have a few details that we would like to share with you. There will be three versions of these cards.
The flagship X700XT will rock with a 500MHz core and will use 1000MHz memory just like Nvidia's 6600GT. You know that you cannot judge the speed from the clock as both chips work differently, but we know that the ATI chip will score approximately 8000 in 3Dmark03 - just as much as Nvidia scores at this test.

The nasty fact is that according to current plans, the ATI card will cost $249, that's fifty bucks more than the Nvidia card with similar performance. I guess ATI will change its pricing because otherwise it will be price gutted against the 6600 GT.

The second version, the X700PRO will rock the boat with a 420MHz core and 864MHz memory and it doesn't compete against an Nvidia card. Nvidia only has 6600 standard and 6600GT while this card should sit in between. This card will score around 7000 in 3Dmark03. Pricewise, it's going to be difficult to position this card as according to current prices the X700 will cost $199.

The last X700 card will be known as the X700 Standard by distributors and will be clocked at 400MHz core and 600MHz memory. This card, we believe will fight against Nvidia's 6600 standard and SRP – the suggested retail price for this part is $149.

All cards are supposed to have eight pipelines and to be introduced just after 20th of September.
