These drivers have not been fully tested, but appear to include a new IDE driver, that may fix the Win2k problems? Again these drivers are BETA and not fully tested.
Until VIA can produce a new IDE busmaster for Win2K, I suggest 686B owners ONLY install the Microsoft ATA/100 hotfix, which will help you eek out a bit more performance out of the default Microsoft IDE driver. Win9X and 686A southbridge users shouldn't be affected.

Finalmenteeeeeeee....provati in WIN2000 e ora l'ATA100 va' come una fucilata...Win2000 mi si carica in 10 secondi contro il minuto buono che ci voleva prima....evvaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....grazie VIA...se si aspettava la Microsoft campa cavallo....ciauz
