Quattro i nuovi modelli CoolPix della serie S che Nikon presenta oggi. Le S8200 ed S100 sono basate sul medesimo cuore: un sensore CMOS 1/2,3″ da 16MPixel e capacità video FullHD 1080p (lo stesso della nuova AW 100). La sostanziale differenza tra le due fotocamere è data dagli obiettivi impiegati, entrambi stabilizzati: si tratta di un 25-350mm F4.5/6.3 per la S8200 e di un 28-140mm F3.9/4.8 per la S100. Posteriormente la S8200 dispone di uno schermo LCD a colori touch da 3″ e 961K punti; 3.5″ OLED touch-screen da 820K punti per la S100. La S100 si distingue inoltre per le dimensioni ultra-compatte: 99x65x18mm per appena 138 grammi di peso, batteria inclusa.

La S6200 invece è dotata di un CCD 1/2.3″ da 16MPixel (video HD 720p) abbinato ad un obiettivo zoom stabilizzato 25-250mm F3.2/5.8; il display touch da 2.7″ completa la dotazione.

La CoolPix S1200pj rinnova l’offerta delle digicam con videoproiettore integrato attraverso un sistema più luminoso e caratterizzato da un miglior contrasto. Delle quattro “S” è l’unica ad essere dotata di un sensore con risoluzione inferiore (CCD 14MPixel 1/2.3″); video HD 720p anche per questo modello. Posteriormente la S1200pj ospita un LCD touch da 3″.
